Pixelkaiju -The Blog

Well, got my designs pretty final. Next step is prototyping. Testing some different techniques for that. First, with the help of good old fashion Fimo Clay, moulding and casting resin. Another prototyping methode I’m pursuing is the possibility of 3D Printing. Found some good companies, like Zcorp. Since I’m not a 3D expert (I know my way around some programs, but rather work with good ol’ fashioned 2D) I send them to a 3Dmodeller.

Can’t wait for the results of the first phase!

Then wait the more daunting tasks! The Licensing, production and marketing! It’s a good thing that there are toylovers on the internet who are willing to share their knowledge. I found a great videoseries on toy-creator.com, that gives tips and tricks on every step.

At the moment, I’m busy planning, how much things can and will cost. Probarbly a big task, cause the amount of money will be linked to my marketingplans. I’m a pretty ambitious guy and know my way around the advertising and retailworld (thank you job-experience), so got some good plans on what to do when the time comes.

So wish me luck, cause in 2010 it should be possible to have your very own Pixelkaiju toy on your desk.
